These terms govern the use of alpineleague.gg and participation in all Alpine League competitions. The platform is operated by Alpine League, an association (Verein) under Swiss law based in Dulliken, Switzerland. By creating an account or entering a tournament you accept these terms and the current tournament rulebook. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy and the tournament-specific rules, constitute the entire agreement between you and Alpine League.
You must be at least 16 years old to use the platform. Players aged 13 to 15 may participate with verifiable consent of a parent or legal guardian. We may request age verification at any time.
Alpine League is a Swiss-based league. Teams must field the minimum number of Swiss players specified in each tournament's rules, and we may request proof of Swiss residency in case of disputes or verification requests.
You must provide accurate registration details and connect a valid Riot account where required. One account per person: sharing, selling or transferring accounts is prohibited. You are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. Providing false information during registration or verification may lead to suspension or removal.
Entry is currently free. We reserve the right to introduce entry fees for future tournaments; any such change will be announced in advance and never applies to a tournament already open for registration. Teams register themselves into a tournament and must field eligible, registered players. Rosters lock at the deadline published on each tournament page, and roster changes are subject to the tournament rules. Admins may refuse or withdraw an entry that breaches these terms or the rulebook.
Specific rules, formats and schedules are published per tournament, and participants are responsible for staying informed about them. We may cancel a tournament due to insufficient participation or other reasons, and may modify formats, rules or schedules with reasonable notice. If a tournament with entry fees is cancelled, those fees will be refunded. Decisions on competitive matters are made by Alpine League admins and are final unless disputed through official channels.
Cheating (including hacks, exploits and unauthorised third-party software), match fixing, harassment, discriminatory behaviour, impersonation and account sharing are prohibited on our platform, in our Discord and during matches. Breaches may lead to match forfeits, temporary suspension, team disqualification, forfeiture of prizes or permanent bans; the severity of a penalty is at the discretion of Alpine League admins. Serious violations may be referred to the appropriate authorities.
Prize pools are stated per tournament. Prizes are paid to the registered team representative after the event and after any disputes are resolved. Taxes and any applicable charges are the recipient's responsibility.
All Alpine League content on the platform — logos, designs, text and graphics — is owned by or licensed to Alpine League and may not be reproduced without written permission.
By uploading content such as team logos or profile images you confirm that you hold the necessary rights to it, and you grant Alpine League a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display and use it on the platform and for promotion of the league. You retain ownership of your content.
League of Legends, VALORANT and related marks are the property of Riot Games, Inc. Participants must also comply with the applicable game publishers' terms of service.
By participating you agree that match content, in-game names, team names and logos may be broadcast, recorded and used by Alpine League for coverage and promotion of the league. Alpine League retains the right to broadcast all tournament matches through official channels. Community and participant streams are welcome provided they follow these terms and any published streaming guidelines, respect third-party rights and do not interfere with official broadcasts.
The platform relies on third-party services, including our authentication provider, Riot Games services (account linking, match data and tournament codes) and Discord for community and communication. Your use of those services is subject to their respective terms. Links to external sites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content.
The platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind; we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service and may modify, suspend or discontinue it at any time. We are not liable for technical issues during matches, such as connectivity problems, game server issues, platform downtime or third-party outages, nor for inconvenience caused by schedule changes. To the extent permitted by Swiss law, Alpine League is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, our total liability is limited to any entry fees paid by the affected user, and we are not responsible for the actions of other users or third parties.
You may close your account at any time by contacting us through official channels. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraudulent or illegal activity or pose a security risk. Upon termination, access to the platform is revoked, outstanding tournament commitments may be affected, and certain data may be retained where the law requires it.
Disputes regarding matches, rules or conduct should first be raised with Alpine League admins through official channels; match results are final unless successfully disputed there. In certain cases a dispute may be escalated to the Swiss Esports Federation (SESF) Refereeing Committee as an external control organ. Before pursuing legal action, both sides agree to attempt a good-faith resolution.
We may update these terms and the rulebook, for example to correct errors or adjust formats. Changes are posted on the platform, and material changes affecting an ongoing tournament will be announced on the site and in our Discord. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect, and a failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
Alpine League maintains partnerships with sponsors, including Red Bull. Sponsor branding and products may be featured on the platform, in broadcasts and at events. This does not imply endorsement by participants or any obligation to purchase sponsor products.
These terms are governed by Swiss law. Place of jurisdiction is Dulliken, Switzerland, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
